02. Our approach

Four habits behind all our work

Human-centred design just means we start with people. Here is what that looks like in practice.

[ 01 ]

Listen first

Before we propose anything, we spend time with your goals and the people you serve. The discovery session is a conversation, not a pitch.

[ 02 ]

Design for real people

We look at your website, emails and forms through your customers’ eyes, then design for how they actually read, tap and decide.

[ 03 ]

Show before you ask

You see what we have in mind before anyone commits: a real concept on screen, not a slide of promises.

[ 04 ]

Measure what matters

We agree on what success looks like up front, then report it in plain words and a few clear numbers.

08. Questions

Ask away

What is human-centred design?

It means we start with the people you want to reach and the people on your team, not with a logo or a template. We listen, look at your experience through your customers’ eyes, show you a concept, and only then build.

What happens in the discovery session?

A 45 minute video call. We ask about your goals, your people, what is working and what is not. You do not need to prepare anything: bring your logo and brand files if you have them, and we do the homework afterwards.

Is the concept really free, and what does go or no-go mean?

Yes. The discovery session, the initial design concept and the written budget and timeline are all free. Go or no-go is your decision once you have all three in hand. Nothing to pay until you say go.

Do you work outside Alberta?

Yes. We are based in Edmonton and work remotely across Canada and North America.

How long from yes to launch?

It depends on the scope. The written timeline you receive before you decide tells you exactly what to expect.

Who owns the work?

We agree ownership in writing before you say go, so there are no surprises. Ask us in the discovery session and we will walk you through it.

Do you manage marketing after launch?

Yes, if you want us to. The last step, build and grow, includes keeping things growing with campaigns, email, search and reporting. It only starts if you say go.

What if we say no?

Then we part as friends and you keep the quick wins we found along the way. You will not owe us anything.
